  • Mgr. Martina Černá, Ph.D.

Mgr. Martina Černá, Ph.D. has been working as an academic at the Polytechnic University Jihlava since 2009. Since 2013 she has been the deputy head of the Department of Social Work. She teaches mainly general and social psychology and communication and presentation skills. She is co-author of three professional books and a number of professional articles. She is involved in the implementation of research projects in the social field in the framework of various calls. She also works as a psychotherapist and is active in canister therapy and volunteering. For this activity she has been repeatedly awarded by the Vysočina Region.

She studied art education and special education with a focus on psychopediatry and etopedics at MU in Brno. She is currently completing her doctoral studies at the Department of Art Education. Currently she works as a special educator in an art workshop in social service for people with PAS. She has been professionally involved in art therapy since her undergraduate studies and has completed training in art therapy for school counselling services and preventive educational care. She has been a lecturer for several years in Open Art Studio, a studio focused on the work of artists with otherness, and a lecturer of art therapy blocks in a number of organizations for diverse target groups. She has experience of teaching at university, in courses and one-off workshops.

  • Mgr. Iva Kratochvílová, DiS.                

A graduate of psychology at the Faculty of Arts UP Olomouc, diploma specialist in social work, graduate of psychotherapeutic training, SUR model and Prague Psychotherapy Faculty, graduate of three-year lifelong education in Art Therapy at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno and coaching training in Prague. She worked as a teacher of Art Therapy at the Faculty of Education in Brno. Since 2015 she has been working as a lecturer of Art Therapy course at the Polytechnic University in Jihlava. She is a co-founder of the innovative school Na Radosti Primary School (Žďár nad Sázavou), where she currently works as a teacher and therapist. She works as a psychotherapist and art therapist. She has experience in family therapy (family counselling), working with parents in divorce proceedings (mediation, therapy, contact with children, rejected parent syndrome), with families in difficult life situations (children in orphanages, socially weak families), with individual therapies. She has experience with people with psychiatric diagnosis (in counseling, in supportive therapies, i.e. healed clients) and experience in art therapy for the elderly. She is dedicated to therapeutic work with people who want to move on in their lives, and offers art therapy supervision to beginning art therapists. She has extensive art therapy experience with young children, adolescents and adults. Art therapy has permeated all of her work for over 20 years.

  • Bc. Pavla Matějková   

Employee of the Psychiatric Clinic Brno Bohunice, Psychiatric Hospital Prague Bohnice, where since 2004 she uses expressive therapy in her work with psychiatric clients. In addition to art therapy, she focuses on Gestalt therapy and dance and movement therapy. In her work she applies body-mind connection, creative dance, contact improvisation and Laban's movement analysis. Another activity is conducting professional seminars for psychology students, special educators and occupational therapists. In the Art Therapy course, she teaches the course Dance Movement Therapy. 

  • Bc. Jaroslav Mühlfeit (practice tutor in the 2nd semester) 

Higher education graduate in Art Therapy at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, where he gained competence in team and independent therapeutic, educational and art pedagogical activities for clients of various institutions where stimulation of artistic expression by specific art practices is required. He has more than 30 years of experience in health care facilities, specializes in the field of Occupational Therapy and lectures on Art Therapy. He cooperates with the University of Applied Sciences in supervising students in practice at his long-standing workplace - the Psychiatric Hospital in Havlíčkův Brod.

  • PaedDr. Marie Pavlovská, Ph.D.  

Academic employee at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno. She conducts seminars and courses focused on drama education, interactive theatre, storytelling, communication and working with voice, creative writing, birds with puppet, etc. for students of primary and secondary school teachers. She has completed a specialization study for the education of the elderly in Vienna. She is the author of a number of key publications in this field (The use of drama therapy in drama education, The development of verbal and non-verbal communication using drama education methods, The influence of drama education methods on classroom relationships and on the self-confidence of children with special needs, etc.). In the Art Therapy course she focuses on the area of drama therapy and creative writing.

Private outpatient psychiatrist with many years of clinical practice, with extensive experience in the practical treatment of psychoses, neuroses, addictions and personality disorders. Previous experience: chief of the psychiatric clinic in Brno and psychiatrist of the crisis centre of the PK FN Brno. Publication activity: focused on the area of assistance to persons affected by psychosocial crisis, organization of crisis intervention, etc. Graduate of the Medical Faculty of the Medical University in Brno (graduation 1978), II. attestation in psychiatry (1990); graduate of psychotherapeutic training SUR (1991-1996), training in dynamic psychotherapy (head of Doc.Dr.Šebek) (1992-1993), functional specialization in psychotherapy (1998).  Within the course of Art therapy at the University of Applied Sciences, he educates those interested in the basics of psychiatry and psychotherapy.

  • Mgr. Lucie Poláková   

Long-term external lecturer at the Department of Social Work, University of the Third Age, University of the Third Age (topics.) Graduate of systematic training in art therapy and art therapy (completed in 2011), graduate of specialized training in aesthetics therapy, art therapy with handicapped children, art therapy for teachers, terratherapy. For many years she has been volunteering (oncology patients of the Jihlava hospital, low threshold facility Klubíčko in Jihlava) and for three years she worked in the aftercare programme for alcohol and drug addicts in Jihlava. She worked as an art therapist in Sdílení, o. s. (training of employees and volunteers), in the Home for the elderly in Myslibořice and cooperates with the Regional Office and Senior point Jihlava on other educational events of the Vysočina Region. Every year it organizes a summer stay with art therapy for families with children in Vysočina.

  • Mgr. Veronika Sequens

External lecturer of the Art Therapy course since 2023, subject Dance Movement Therapy. Graduated from the University of Higher Education, majoring in sociology. Since 2002 she has been actively studying psychology and self-development in this field. In 2017 she completed her psychotherapeutic training in dance-movement therapy (= expressive form of psychotherapy).

  • Mgr. Josef Zajíček  

Educator, dramatherapist, founder of two improvisational theatre groups, head of the Therapy Theatre Olomouc and the Theatre Útulek at DM Marie Stejskalová in Brno. Author of contributions to publications in the field of dramatherapy.

  • Mgr. Hana Zápotočná    

Psychotherapist, provides counselling, crisis intervention, therapeutic support to clients. She has experience in running a counseling center and educating the professional and lay public, providing professional consultations to students of the Health and Social Worker program at the University of Social Sciences, and working in private therapeutic practice for children and adults.   • Mgr. Dana Zouharová  

Special educator with many years of experience, non-professional music therapist and member of the Music Therapy Association of the Czech Republic. Graduate of systematic training in music therapy, music therapy workshops and supervision. She conducts Educational Music Therapy seminars and organizes music workshops for children and adults. She has used music therapy primarily in her work as a teacher in a special primary school for pupils with intellectual disabilities and autism. She has expanded her training in therapeutic and creative movement and dance, drama therapy, basal stimulation, ABA therapy and voice work. She works with preschools or intergenerational centers. She teaches courses in Music Therapy at the Art Therapy course at the University of Applied Sciences.
