Lifelong learning at the VŠPJ

"Every individual must be enabled to continue learning throughout his or her life because lifelong learning is the cornerstone of a learning society" (UNESCO 1972)

Lifelong learning is governed by Section 60 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education and the Regulations for Lifelong Learning of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava (hereinafter referred to as VŠPJ).

Lifelong learning (hereinafter referred to as LLL) is an important part of the educational activities of the VŠPJ. Within its framework, professional and leisure education is offered to the general public, both within accredited and non-accredited educational programmes.

Lifelong learning is provided at the VŠPJ through the Centre for Lifelong Learning (hereinafter referred to as CCV).

The offer of professional courses at the VŠPJ is based on the current accredited study programmes of the VŠPJ. The offer of extracurricular education includes mainly courses of the University of the Third Age (hereinafter referred to as U3V). More information about U3V and the possibilities of enrolment can be found on the website here.

The Centre for Lifelong Learning of the University of Applied Sciences also offers the implementation of courses according to the specific requirements of the sponsor, the so-called contract courses. These courses are based on the accredited study programmes of the VŠPJ and are led by experts from practice.

As part of the CCV, a British Council Language Examination Centre has been established at the VŠPJ. For more information on preparation courses, examinations and how to apply, please visit here.

Participants in educational programs offered by the Center for Lifelong Learning at the VŠPJ can use the services of the VŠPJ University Library free of charge.
