In one of the special episodes of the Polytechnicast podcast for Scientist Night, we take a closer look at a phenomenon that has been moving the world for at least the last decade, and which has a connection to mystery encoded in its name. That phenomenon is cryptocurrencies. Its name is etymologically based on the word cryptography, the science of encryption, that is, keeping a certain message secret. This time, two guests who are involved in this topic, whether in their work, study or leisure time, will help us unravel the mystery of cryptocurrencies. Filip Kulíšek, a student of the bachelor's degree programme in Finance and Management, and Martin Lahučký, who is currently studying Applied Informatics at VŠPJ. If you are a regular Polytechnicast listener, you are certainly not unfamiliar with their names.
