Polytechnicast #16: Scientists' Night

temp.jpg

Mysterious, elusive and complicated. That's how science can affect you, but not when it's Scientist Night. A night when science and scientists show you their true colors. This extraordinary event, which brings to life hundreds of scientific buildings across the Czech Republic for one evening, will take place for the first time ever on the grounds of the Jihlava Polytechnic University on 24 September 2021 from 17:00, and you will be able to take part in interesting lectures, exhibitions, guided tours of laboratories, workshops, concerts and playful activities that will introduce you to the scientific and research activities carried out by the academic staff at the JSPU.

The theme of this year's Scientists' Night is time. This physical variable plays an important role not only in scientific experiments, but touches everyone's lives. We may or may not measure time. But it encourages endless imagination and opens up a world of adventure. Let's discover together the secrets of relativity, immortality, aging or evolution. Come early and get to know time not only as a physical quantity. How the topic of time was tackled by the academic staff of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava and other involved actors. This is partly answered in the 16th episode of the Polytechnicast podcast, in which they will give you an insight into the activities they have prepared for the visitors of the Night of Scientists.
