Polytechnicast #13: ELIŠKA NĚMCOVÁ AND LUCIE VAŇKOVÁ: After returning home we experienced culture shock

In the last episode of the Polytechnicast podcast, our guest was David Průša from the International Department of the Polytechnic University Jihlava, we took a closer look at the wide range of study and work placements abroad that both students and employees of our university can choose from. We will return to the topic of trips abroad this time as well - the guests of today's thirteenth episode are Eliška Němcová and Lucie Vaňková, who in the next academic year will become students of the third year of the Bachelor's degree programme Health and Social Worker. Eliška and Lucie were not afraid to take advantage of a unique opportunity and decided to spend the whole last semester at Erasmus in Lovan, Belgium, even in very turbulent times. They returned back to the Czech Republic only at the beginning of July and their experience with studying abroad is still fresh and first-hand. In the course of the interview they will introduce you to some Belgian specifics, teach you some phrases from different world languages, reveal which place in Belgium they found most enchanting, and maybe find out if Belgian waffles are really the best in the world, as the Belgians themselves claim.
