Within the framework of the project of the National Plan for the Renewal of Higher Education Institutions for 2022-2024, professionally oriented upskilling courses are being prepared at the VŠPJ with the planned start of teaching from the winter semester 2023/2024:
The training scope of the professionally oriented course is to promote self-reflection and feedback based on intensive group interaction, which will provide insight into participants' own experiences and motives for action. The training fosters sensitivity and understanding of the behaviour of others, and encourages further personal development. The course is designed primarily for social service workers and social workers. It is designed for beginning professionals and for experienced professionals who feel the need to attend to their own self-development. The course is a supportive tool for improving practice. The aim of the course is to provide participants with a self-directed experiential program focused on the development of self-knowledge, social competence and communication skills.
The format of the training is combined, including both direct instruction and self-study, as well as the preparation of a practical and professionally oriented final paper according to the individual needs of the trainee.
The study load is 104 hours, the direct teaching is in the scope of 48 hours.

The professionally oriented Industry 4.0 course will give participants a closer insight into the overall concept of Industry 4.0 and also into selected areas that belong to this industrial transformation. The course explains the basic principles of Industry 4.0 and also introduces participants in more detail to the topics of artificial intelligence, image processing, robotics and communication protocols and their use in Industry 4.0. Participants will be able to use the acquired knowledge and skills in the implementation of Industry 4.0 in existing and emerging companies as well as in research, development of new methods and their innovation within the individual steps/areas of Industry 4.0. As part of the course, participants will also take field trips to companies where Industry 4.0 is already established and used.
The target group is mainly practitioners with technical education (min. high school diploma) - electrical engineers, programmers, mechanical engineers, or people working in research or innovation methods used in Industry 4.
The form of education is combined, it includes both direct teaching, self-study and preparation of practical and professionally oriented final work according to the individual needs of the participant of the educational program.
The study load is 104 hours, includes 2 excursions and direct teaching in the scope of 22 hours.

The professionally oriented course Financial Management for Non-Financial Professions will introduce participants to the theoretical basis in the field of financial management of the firm (organization), investment decision-making and individual policies in this area, including an understanding of their interrelationships with the firm (organization) as a whole and internal departments of the firm (organization). Participants will then apply this knowledge in independent or team work in four individual modules, focused on applied financial decision-making, financial reporting and analysis and individual financial policies in the firm (organisation). The acquired knowledge will be consulted with tutors from the school and practitioners. The course is designed for professionals from practice, i.e. employees of organizations in the public and private sector areas (non-financial professions) with at least 2 years of experience (clerk, administrative worker, middle management, auxiliary professions, service worker, self-employed). The aim of the course is to obtain a professional superstructure in the field of financial management of a company (organization) with the possibility of professional specialization or further career and educational growth.
The form of education is combined, it includes both direct teaching and self-study as well as the preparation of practical and professionally oriented seminar or final thesis according to the individual needs of the participant of the educational program.
The study load is 104 hours, direct teaching is in the scope of 20 hours.
