Focus on midwifery: the 15th Jihlava Midwives Conference offered a cross-section of the most pressing topics in midwifery

The conference was opened by the Rector of the VŠPJ Zdeněk Horák together with the Director of the Jihlava Hospital Alexandr Filip.

The conference offered a cross-section of topics in the field of midwifery, ranging from teaching midwives on midwifery models, which are now available to the Polytechnic College, to the art of communication with the expectant mother, postpartum recovery, preparation for motherhood, diet during breastfeeding, to the experience of community midwifery.

"The conference was really interesting in every way this year. It also opened up topics that are emotive and often neglected. It is good that practitioners, students and academics can meet in this way and talk about new trends and experiences," said Lenka Görnerová from the Department of Health Studies at the University of Applied Sciences.

The conference was organized by the Polytechnic University of Jihlava and the Hospital Jihlava, p.o.

The event is included in the system of lifelong learning of health professionals.
