The College of Polytechnics Jihlava will participate in the Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences again this year. On the occasion of the largest science festival in the Czech Republic, the Jihlava University of Science and Technology will present a lecture by Ing. Lenka Kuklišová Pavelková, Ph.D., from the Department of Technical Studies at the VŠPJ, entitled How to know and manage the world.
This lecture, which will take place on November 6 at 1:00 p.m. in the meeting room next to the historic auditorium, will provide a practical introduction to systems and control theory. You will learn how to use this theory to describe any part of the world, how to predict its behavior, and how to control it to behave as we want it to. You will see illustrative examples from everyday life and industry, from temperature control to industrial robots to autonomous vehicles. Admission to the talk is free.
The Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences is the largest science festival in the Czech Republic, featuring lectures, exhibitions, workplace events, documentaries, workshops, science cafes and many other activities across the country and in all scientific disciplines. The festival, which will take place in its 4th year from 4 to 10 November 2024, is aimed at both high school students, for whom lectures and excursions in the morning are mainly prepared, and the general public, who are targeted by the programme in the afternoon and evening.
Events for students, staff and the general public.
