VŠPJ Park will host an exhibition of photographs about the life of growers and the Fairtrade system

This year's exhibition will provide an overview of Fairtrade, focusing on certification and the global movement. It will be on display in the College Park until 13 October 2024. "The global movement, the certification system or the fair trade system, whichever way we look at Fairtrade, it is always about the grower first and foremost. They often live in poverty and without support to combat the impacts of climate change. The exhibition brings to life the joys and sorrows of the growers we connect with every day through products," says Stanislav Kominek, event coordinator at Fairtrade CS.

On the occasion of the exhibition, the POLYFiK Film Club will offer a screening of a new documentary from the Fairtrade CS workshop entitled Coffee Future (2024, CZ, 39 minutes). The film will be shown on Tuesday 8 October 2024 at 3 pm in the meeting room of the University of Applied Sciences. The film focuses on long-term poverty and the impact of climate change on coffee farmers in Latin America.

This is the tenth year that the exhibition on trees has been held in more than 100 parks across the country to mark World Day for Decent Work. It is celebrated on 7 October.
