How about the college schedule? Representatives of the departments will help freshmen and sophomores at VŠPJ

Starting studies on campus is intrinsically linked to the creation of a schedule for the first semester. Navigate the information system and become familiar with the recommended curriculum or the differences between required and elective courses. For the fourth time, representatives of the individual departments of the University of Applied Sciences will be helping freshmen with these challenges as part of the Freshman Day and Schedule Creation event.

Those interested in shared schedule creation can arrive at the VSU Learning Center on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, as early as 10 a.m. to hear a brief briefing. The actual timetable creation will then take place at the individual departments from 11.00 a.m. "In addition to assistance with timetable creation, first-year students can look forward to basic information on studying in their chosen study programme, information about the school, a tour of the school's facilities, individual departments and, of course, answers to questions," said Ing. Martina Kuncová, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Studies.

Enrolment in courses according to the recommended curriculum will begin for all first-year students at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Learners who are not interested in enrolling in courses in person in the school building on their own laptop or tablet during Freshers' Day can enrol individually online. It is mandatory to complete courses for a minimum of 15 credits total in the first semester.

Participation in the event is not mandatory and pre-registration is required. The agenda will be finalized during the month of August and emailed along with registration information. It will also be posted on the Starting Freshman Web site and in the Freshmen Varsity 2024/2025 FB group.

Additional scheduling questions will be answered online by the scheduler during office hours. Consultations will be held on 12 and 13 September 2024, 4pm-6pm each time. All students will receive a link to join by email no later than 11 September 2024.
