Vice-Rector Václav Báča, together with representatives of the city and the region, commemorated the anniversary of the end of World War II

The beginning of May is Victory Day, the day on which we officially commemorate the end of World War II. On the occasion of this day, representatives of the Statutory City of Jihlava, the Vysočina Region, the Higher School of Military Education, the Regional Military Command, the Confederation of Political Prisoners, the Police of the Czech Republic and the Sokol Jihlava gathered at the Central Cemetery in Jihlava to lay flowers at the statue of Jaroslav Šlezinger, the memorial to fallen Soviet soldiers and the memorial plaque on the wall of the Central Cemetery.

The commemorative act was organized by the Statutory City of Jihlava in cooperation with the Czech Union of Freedom Fighters. On behalf of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava, the act was attended by the Vice-Rector of the VŠPJ, Václav Báča.
