Students and academic staff of Uzhhorod National University visited the University of Applied Sciences

Exchange visits of students and academic staff of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava and the partner Uzhhorod National University have a tradition since 2013. Until 2019, students and academics from both schools met twice a year as part of exchange visits. "Our students provide guiding services in the places visited and the Czech-Ukrainian teams work on the assigned topics, which are presented on the last day of the workshop. The event is attended by 10 students and two academics from Uzhhorod National University and five students and two academics from VŠPJ. The event is either in English or we have an interpreter in Ukrainian", outlined Mgr. Ivana Brychtová from the Department of Tourism.

The theme of this year's workshop was history and cultural heritage in the Highlands and Transcarpathian Ukraine. In addition to the programme at the Polytechnic University of Jihlava, the participants of the workshop also visited the regional office, where they were received by the Governor of the Vysočina Region Vítězslav Shrek. Together they also visited the centre of Prague, Telč and the Ukrainian House in Jihlava, where they brought and donated books in Ukrainian.
