Jihlava Polytechnic College signed strategic partnership agreements with Gordic spol. s r.o. and Optokon, a.s.

The Polytechnic College Jihlava has concluded its first strategic partnerships with Gordic spol. s r.o. and Optokon, a.s. Both companies can now use the phrase "Strategic Partner of the VŠPJ." Thus, the VŠPJ continues to implement its Strategy for Cooperation with External Entities from 2023, which aims to formalize cooperation with external entities in the form of partnerships and thus develop cooperation with partners from practice in accordance with its Strategic Plan 2021 , national strategic documents represented by the Strategy of Educational Policy of the Czech Republic until 2030 and the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Higher Education for the period from 2021.

On 23 April 2024, the Rector of the VŠPJ Zdeněk Horák signed a framework agreement on cooperation with the CEO of Optokon, a.s. Jiří Štefl and the CEO of Gordic spol. s r.o. Jaromír Řezáč.

"Partnership means long-term cooperation formalized by a contract, and the highest form of this partnership is the strategic partnership we have entered into with Gordic spol. s r.o. and Optokon, a.s. I very much appreciate the mutual cooperation and I believe that this agreement will lead to further mutual deepening of our relations," says the Rector of the VŠPJ Zdeněk Horák.

Strategic partner is defined as a partner who contributes to the fulfilment of the goals and priorities of the VŠPJ and demonstrably contributes to the development of the VŠPJ.

"We offer strategic partners a number of benefits that come from this type of partnership. These include, for example, the priority right to choose the topics of student work, the possibility of presenting the partner in the school building and at important events organized by the VŠPJ, or even the possibility of involvement in the project plans of the VŠPJ. We then expect from them a significant contribution in updating our teaching, solving real practical assignments by our students, providing their experts in practical teaching and, last but not least, research cooperation with superior results," explains further the concept of strategic partnership Rector Zdeněk Horák.

Partnerships with the VŠPJ are categorized into five basic types: strategic partner, partner, secondary partner, project partner, event/one-off partner. Outside the partnership, the category of collaborating institution is defined. Only partnerships are considered to be effective collaborations.

A political party or movement cannot be a partner of the HEI.
