Trends and Technologies 2024 conference offered meetings with innovative approaches in applied technology, informatics and engineering
On Tuesday, 16 April 2024, the traditional conference of the Department of Technical Studies of the University of Applied Sciences and Technology Jihlava was held under the title Trends and Technologies 2024. The aim of the conference was to provide participants with an opportunity to meet innovative approaches, especially in the fields of applied informatics, engineering, industrial automation, robotics and Industry 4.0.
The conference, which is traditionally organized by the Department of Technical Studies of the University of Applied Sciences, was attended by over a hundred students from the programs of applied computer science, applied engineering and applied technology for industrial practice. Practitioners and academics were also present.
The main partner of this year's conference was NXP Semiconductors Czech Republic with a presentation on collaboration with universities and a talk on Digital Footprints in Embedded Systems.
Other partners were MANN HUMMEL with a presentation of products for e-mobility, as well as the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Czechinvest, who presented subsidy titles for the digitalization of enterprises or business support from the Technology Incubation Programme.
Other conference topics included cybersecurity, document authentication, and production automation, including a demonstration of a collaborative robot. The conference concluded with a tour of the Industry 4.0 Laboratory in the basement of the VŠPJ Learning Centre.
