The Academic Senate of the VŠPJ announces elections for the term 2024-2027

In the third week of April, elections for the Academic Senate of the University of Applied Sciences for the term 2024-2027 will take place.

• Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 8.45 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Academic Senate of the College of Arts and Sciences is a rather crucial representative body of the college. Its members defend the interests of the academic community, advocate for building the vision of the school and its functioning. The competence of the Academic Senate of the VŠPJ is reflected in the issues of individual fields of study, the election of the Rector, the approval of budget measures, the co-organization of events, the promotion of tools for improving the quality of everyday life of students in the school premises, etc. This institution has a total of 15 members in both chambers. "While the students elect their representatives to the student chamber of the senate, the academic staff elect their representatives to the academic chamber," says Mgr. Hana Vojáčková, Ph.D., deputy head of the Department of Technical Studies at VŠPJ and also chair of the Academic Senate of VŠPJ.

Election process and results

Elections are conducted by secret ballot. The ballot paper with the alphabetical order of the candidates is issued to the student voter as usual on presentation of ISIC card, student card or ID card. Each student elects a representative to the student chamber.
Academic staff shall present their ID card and confirm their participation by signing. Each academic shall elect a representative to the Academic Chamber.

Results of the election will be published on the school's official bulletin board by Friday, April 19, 2024.
