Fresh bachelors and engineers graduated for the first time this year

Of the 139 students who successfully completed their studies in September last year and in January and February this year, 104 graduates attended the traditional ceremony. While in the morning fresh graduates of the economic programmes Tourism and Finance and Management received their bachelor's diplomas, in the afternoon graduates of the health and social sciences and technical programmes symbolically completed their bachelor's studies. In addition to them, three fresh engineers from the follow-up Master's degree programme Applied Technology for Industrial Practice also received their diplomas in the afternoon. After graduation, they had the traditional opportunity to be immortalized with their loved ones and teachers in a self-service photo corner.

In addition to the academic staff and school management, the ceremonial acts were attended by the 1st Deputy Governor of the Vysočina Region Mgr. Hana Hajnová, Mayor of Jihlava Mgr. Petr Ryška, deputy mayors Radek Popelka and Ing. Richard Šedivý, Councillor of the Vysočina Region Mgr. Jan Tourek and Mgr. Stanislava Holbová from the Department of Social Affairs of the Vysočina Region.

The only college based in the Vysočina Region will celebrate its 20th anniversary this June. Although it is one of the youngest among Czech universities, in two decades it has become an indispensable regional centre of education. During the school's existence, more than 6,500 graduates of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava have graduated in the bachelor's degree programme and more than a hundred graduates in the master's degree programme. Currently, over two thousand full-time and distance students are studying at the VŠPJ, not only in the bachelor's degree programme, but also in two follow-up master's programmes.
