International Guides' Day will introduce the well-known and lesser-known places of Jihlava

On the occasion of International Guides Day, two free guided tours of the historical centre of Jihlava will be launched on Saturday 24 February 2024. The event, organized by the Department of Tourism of the University of Applied Sciences under the auspices of the Association of Guides of the Czech Republic and in cooperation with the organization Brána Jihlava, p.o. and the Museum of Vysočina Jihlava, is intended for all interested members of the public.

The Department of Tourism of the University of Applied Sciences, whose students will take on the role of guides during the tours, will join the celebration of International Guides Day for the eighth time this year. At 10.00 a.m., the first one-hour tour will start at the Museum of Vysočina Jihlava, especially for families with children. At 13:00, those interested will set off from the Museum of Vysočina Jihlava for the traditional two-hour tour. During both tours participants will visit Gustav Mahler Park, the Gate of the Mother of God, Jihlava churches and many other sights.
