Students will elect their representatives to the Academic Senate of the University of Applied Sciences in by-elections

The Academic Sená chamber is without two sená toras since the beginning of the new semester. The reason for this is the graduation of the now graduated VŠPJ senátor Šimona Hajníka and senátor Adiya Zhalel. The newázágrads of the VŠPJ Studentéchamber will be elected in a byácác election to be held on 24 October 2023 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the VŠPJ lobby, Tolstého 16. Jihlava.

„Anyý student of VŠPJ whoý proves his/her identity with ISIC card or student card can vote for the Student Chamber. If a student does not prove himself or herself with either of the šše listed cards, he or she may present his or her ID to the Election &Academy Committee. Membersé of&the&election&committee&shall&verify&the&identity&of&the&student&in&the&information&system&and&sequentially&issue&the&voter&with&the&scaron&ný ballot&stack. The names of the candidates will be listed on the ballot in alphabetical order," explains the Chair of the Academic Senate of the VŠPJ Mgr. Hana Vojáčková, Ph.D. Elections to the Studenté Chamber are secret and students mustá be careful to throw a validý ballotá stack into the ballot box. „Behind the wall of secret ballots, the voter circles the number of the candidate to whom he or she wants to give his or her vote. The ballot paper is then placed in the ballot box. Any ballot paper with a circle marking the number of candidates will be invalid," said Dr. Vojááá.

The candidatesáwhoáreceiveáthe&highest&number&ofávotes&from&the&validýballots&casted&will&be&elected.

The student chamber represents and advocates for students. It is a part of the Academic Senate of the VŠPJ, which is the selfý representative body of the VŠPJ and whose main powers include the right to propose appointments; and dismiss the Rector, approve the internal regulations, approve the budget of the šcollege, approve the ýannual ýreport on the activities and the ýannual ýreport on the management of the šcollege submitted by the Rector. The Academicý Sená shall giveá priorá approval to the Rector for the appointmentá and removalá of members of the Academicé Council, members of the Internalá Evaluationá Council and members of the Disciplinaryá Committee.
