The Vice-Rector of the University of Applied Sciences honoured the memory of political prisoners executed in the 1950s in Jihlava

The commemoration of the victims of judicial murders of political prisoners executed in the prison of the Regional Court in Jihlava in the 1950s was organized by the city of Jihlava in cooperation with the Jihlava branch of the Confederation of Political Prisoners.

In addition to the vice-rector of the Bá, theá, which was located at the building of the Polytechnicé College Jihlava in Tyršova Street, they also laid bouquets at theá President of the Senátu Miloš Vystrčil, nácityámayor of Jihlava Martin Laštovička, fromáthe Highlands Region Martin Hyský and fromáthe Confederation of Political Prisoners of the Czech Republic, the Police of the Czech Republic and the Army of the Czech Republic.

Act of consecration was preceded by a mše of St. Igná in the St. Igná Church at Masaryk ná in Jihlava, celebrated by P. Cyril Vojtech Kodet, Fr. Carm, Prior of the Carmelite Convent in Prague-Liboc. At the end of the act of commemoration, the Czech national anthem was sung.

In the building of the former regional court 11 people were executed in 1950 – 1952 in the course of two major political trials. They were Karel Veselý, Franti&scaron& ek Rod, Jan Tuček, Vá&clav Drbola, Franti&scaron& ek Kopuletý, Antoní& n Mityska, Drahoslav Němec, Franti&scaron& ek Pařil, Antoní& n Plichta, Antoní& n &Scaron& krdla and Jan Bula.
