In the autumn of 2022, the Slow Tourism Management project was launched, which is implemented in the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures. The mainý&level&of&the&project&is&cooperated&by&an&international&consortium&led&by&the&University&of&Business&in&Broclaw&and&composed&ofá≤ of universities from Hungary, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic, will prepare the documents for the prestigious European accreditation of the new study programme. The two-yearý follow&up´ masterý triple degree program will focusý on the field of slow tourism management.
The Department of Tourism at VŠPJ, which does not currently offer a Master's degree programme in the field of tourism, is involved in the project as an Associate Partners University. As part of this cooperation, the academic staff of the department can offer guidance in master's theses, teaching of individual courses, organization of summer/winter courses, excursions, internships, etc. Involvement of the Department of Tourism in these activities is important in terms of international cooperation, from´áá point of view;newý experiences&scaron´ and last but not least´ opportunities´ for the development of study´ programmes in the future.
Two meetings of the project partners have already taken place in the course of the project. Both the meeting at the University of Pannonia in Veszprém in Hungary, and the úénénén meeting that took place on 15. 2023 at the European University in Tbilisi, Georgia, was attended by RNDr. Mgr. Stanislava Pachrová, Ph.D., from the Department of Tourism. „Both projectá meetingsá were very intensiveá and were focused on the preparation of documents related to the development of the study program, e.g;the definition of the graduate profile, the development of the study programme, or the characteristics and course of the compulsory study programme,“ said Dr. „At the firstáá oneáá, sp´á še generalá rules and principles were defined, agreements and differences were sought between the educationalá vacá systems of involvedá countries.
