U3V students had the opportunity to learn about the rituals of the Jewish holiday of Passover

In úterý 4. April 2023, on the eve of the opening of the Jewish holiday Pesach, the students of University of the Third & Second Age enrolled in the course Judaica at the so-called Judaica. The course instructor Mgr. Petra Čejka and her husband took the audience through a 2-hour version of the ritual of the Seder Dinner, which is traditionally used as a reminder of the bringing of the people of Israel out of Egyptian slavery. Listeners will authentically learn about the story and meaning of the úhorses této traditional dinner, as it is conceivedádá symbolicýof the meal, toasted with four ššems of košer in or before theátání of texts from the Passover Haggadah, and to the singing of selected Jewishýscriptures, e.g. Dajenu. The Úfrequentý participants of the course already knowý what is hidden behind theýtimes such as menorah, ma ništanach, karpas, majim, matzos, maror, charoset and more. The entireé non-traditionalé event and the Sederé table were organized by the staff of the Center for Whole Life Educationá V&scaron& PJ according to the exactýinstructions of the course lecturer, who is a graduate of Bar-Ilan University in Israeli Tel Aviv, majoring in Jewish Studies.
