Representatives of VŠPJ and the city of Jihlava honoured the memory of Evžen Plock

Rector VŠPJ Zdeněk Horák together with the nácityátor of Jihlava Richard Šedivým in úterý 4. April 2023 laid a bouquet of flowers at the  memorialí plaque of Evžen Płock at Masaryk ná towní in Jihlava. They commemorated the sacrifice of this Jihlava citizen who, 54 years ago, rose up in protest against the occupation of Czechoslovakia by the troops of the Treaty of Var&scaroné.

Evžen Plocek was a reformist communist and a Catholic fromátheáplane who couldánotáreconcile;with the invasion of Czechoslovakia by the troops of the Treaty of Var&scaroné and the subsequent political war that resulted in normalization. Therefore, on April 4, 1969, he stood up in protest in the town of Jihlava. After Jan Palach and Jan Zají he thus became the third living march. He died on April 9, 1969, of následin popálenin in jihlavské hospital.
