The 7th representative ball of VŠPJ in black and white brought a whole spectrum of experiences

On 17th March 2023, the 7th Representative Ball of the VŠPJ was held in the Dělnickéhouse Jihlava. The festive evening with the subtitle Blacká & bílá brought not only great záfun, but through theám výheavy from the charityí silenté auction, it contributed to support of the Halfway House Havlíchkův Brod service. During the evening, the finalists of the Opus Optimum award were presented with their awards.

After the opening úím word, whichém was taken by the rector of VŠPJ Zdeněk Horák, the group Gaudi consisting of the clients of the Adapta Jihlava relief´ service took the floor. The dancers, dressed in black and white, created a very nice atmosphere in the sále with their performance. Immediately afteré theé peopleé had theé opportunity to see theé acrobaticé performance; on the circle underání hopefulé šestnáctileté acrobat Vilma Bělochové from Sokol Jihlava. After the dance performances, the band Celebration took the stage. from the 1970s to the present day.

On the crowdedém dance floor, theém sweatémellowed out during only a few málo occasions. One of them wasání awardí toáacademicýstaff&a&caron& PJ. The Opus Optimum award, which has been given by the rector of VŠPJ since 2012 to the authors of the best creative work published by VŠPJ, was not awarded this year. The rector of VŠPJ Zdeněk Horák thus presented the prizes for advancement to the finále Opus optimum to the works of Dr. Filip Děchtěrenko from the Department of Mathematics and Professor David Kachlíka from the Department of Health Studies. The awards were received in their absence from the Rector by the head of the department, Associate Professor Radek Kolman.

Dancers from the ranks of the ball dancers left the dance floor just once, to free a hundred professionals from the dance group DanceArt Pelhřimov. Nine párs of dancers dazzled the úfrequentýers of the ball with theirýperfectlyýrehearsedýbut still very livelyýconceptýof traditionalýLatinýdances.

Anýl part& of& the& evening& was& traditionally& a& charity& silent& auction, with& theýheavies& of& thešround& donating& to& the& selected& organization. As this yearšní beneficiary of the silenté auction was selected the service Halfway House Havlíchek Brod operating under J. J. Pestalozzi Center, o.p.s., which has already been supported by students and employees of šcoly materialální with a collection in December lastéyear in the rárárá event Vánce at VŠPJ. Just like last year, the ú attendees of the ball were able to auction off some really great ú items, which were donated to the auction this year by, for example, the Rodinný brewery BERNARD a.s., Střední uměleckoprůmyslová škola Jihlava-Helenín, ZUŠ Jihlava, SUŠG and VOŠG Jihlava, Speciální škola Velká Bíteš, Aliterra, Adolescent publishing house, the Nerdopolis website, Xiss, and the smallí company Pavel Bezděčka and Jakub Tomš. The symbolicý š š check for the totalý auction, whichý this year amounted to 45 000 CZK, thus surpassing theý check from the previousý annualý ball, was personally received by Ing. Zdeněk Dostál, head ofá staff of the organization.

With a festiveým evening, the ú honoraryí ball experiencedšený moderátor Jirí Doležal, whoý already úhas moderated not only several previous VŠPJ balls, but also last year's Academic Day and the traditional Sports with VŠPJ event. Návšteeíers of the lastéball knowá that he is great not only behind the microphone, but alsoá at the mixáng desk. Just like last year, Jiří took on the role of afterparty DJ after the production of Celebration, and thus took care of the dancingý of theá successfulé evening.
