Two research projects started at the VŠPJ

In January 2023, the implementation of two newýýýýý& projects was launched at the Polytechnicýý&college in Jihlava. Thešení of thešboth& projectsí Department of Technicalých Studiesí VŠPJ as a furtherší solver.

Firstá project with nácall Drivená úchopová mechanics: Modelsání, řízení and Experiments is funded by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic in rá through the public competition Interá bilateralá projects – cooperation with the Republic of Korea. The main´šite of the project is doc. Kolman of the Ústate of thermomechanics of the CAS, v. v. i., dále is involved Ústate of information theory and automation of the CAS, v. v. i. and Kyung Hee University on the Korean side. The aim of the project is to expandší knowledge ofú ú chopé mechanics, basedé on 3D printedý electroactiveý;materials and pneumatically expandable origami/kirigami-type structures for applications in robotics, biomedical and aerospace industries. The activities of the project will be carried out between 2023 and 2024. The project leader on the VŠPJ side is doc. Ing. Zdeněk Horák, Ph.D., who stated. I believe that this project is the beginning of a longáé relationshipáé cooperation.“

Anotherýý&onlyý& project is a project with a Vý&army&of&innovative&biocompatible&coatings&to&avoid´ cold weld, which was supported by the TREND programme of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and will be implemented between 2023 and 2025. The TREND programme is aimed at supporting industrial research and experimentation in companies. In this project, the main´&researcher is the company AdvaMat s.r.o., MEDIN a.s. is the cošitele and otheršícošers from academicé sphere ofé Czeché universityé technicalé in Prague and the ššcolleges ofá polytechnicá Jihlava. Thisá isá project in the fieldá ofá healthá whoseá purposeá isá toá developá specialá surfaceá layerá whichá willá beá coatedá oná theá wallsá ofšgá lockingá splintsá usedá forá fixationá ofá boneá fractures. The reason for seeking such a solution is the necessity to preserve the possibility of their surgical removal after healing of the fracture. The  Šgrafts, which fix the splint to the bone tissue, cannot be easily loosened and removed due to the formation of a cold weld. „Collaboration with the private sphereérou is very important for VŠPJ as a professionally oriented college. VŠPJ has been cooperating with MEDIN a.s. for a long time. and this cooperation is dále developed and expanded by otherší companies,“ addedáiná to the project by its headá director for VŠPJ Ing.
