The last POLYFiK this year will focus on eating disorders

Filmý club POLYFiK will present in úterý 6. November, the Norwegian documentary film Autoportrét, which gives an insight into the life of an artist struggling with anorexia. After theátápromátá will follow workshop on míru by Helena Pravdové with náMy Body is Mine, which focuses on the prevention of body shaming and mýty associated with eating disorders.

Lasté summeršní promátání of the VŠPJ POLYFiK film club, whiché took place in úterý 6. November at 3 p.m. in the meeting room of the Rector's Office, presenting the documentary Autoportrét. The Norwegianý film, whichý won the mainá prize of the Regioná jury of the One World Festival in 2020, is an intimateá film; into the life of Lene Marie Fossen, a Norwegian artist who is trying to fight anorexia through photography.

After the film is over, there will be a workshop on míru by Helena Pravdové with My Body is Mine lecturer Helena Pravdovéfocused on prevention of body shaming in the Czechém´. In the rámce of the discussion, the topic of how to recognize the warning signs of eating disorders will be opened. The workshop will alsoé address the influence of family and immediateé environment on a child'sé self-esteem.

„I wanted to stay a díchild forever,“ saysáká Norwegianá artist Lene Marie Fossen. The 28-year-old girl struggles with anorexia, and has never physically gone through puberty. She stopped eating when she was ten years old. Since then, the disease has completely crippled not only her body but also ours. The joy of life was awakened only with a new vášní, portraétní photographs. Hidden behind the lens, Lena captures the faces of Greek elders and children in refugee camps. With a collection of her own self-portraits she is among the world's top photographers. Moreá offersá for selfá states, interviews, TVá appearances. Someá timeá Lenina's photography gotá into the spotlight, someá timeá again startedá to controlá disease. Snímek is an intimateýing into the life of a lady whoás wish for the world to remember her as a v´ve photographer, not as a patient with an eating disorder.
