The 28th of October is celebrated annually in the Czech Republic as Day of the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak state. On the occasion of Státnáday, the rector of VŠPJ Zdeněk Horák and Vice-Rector Václav Bácha fromúhonouredúmemoriesýmeetingsáin Prague and Jihlava.

Czechá Conference of Rectors (CRC) honored the 28th anniversary of the 28th Conference of Rectors. Dále was attended by the town's mayor Petr Ryška, senátor Miloš Vystrčil, the governor of the Vysočina Region Vítězslav Schrek, deputy Eva Decroix, zámembers of the Confederation of Political Prisoners and members of the Association for the return of the TGM statue to Jihlava, which together with the Statute of the City of Jihlava is the organizer of the event.
