The Department of Tourism of the University of Applied Sciences and Technology explores cross-border city partnerships in practice for the third time

Students and academics of the Department of Tourism VŠPJ will take part in the From 12 to 16. Fromárowí 2022 úfrequentí terénního šetreníin Southéregion andáborderíregion of Austria. &Scaron& etrení is part of the Partnership of cities to strengthen the cross-borderíí;regional development, in which the Department of Tourism is cooperating with partners from Donau-Universität Krems.

In the framework of the Partnership of cities to promote cross-border regional development (KPF-02-220), the From 12 to 16. Zárí 2022 thirdá terénní šetrení tý mu students and academics of the Department of Tourism VŠPJ in cooperation with partners from Donau-Universität Krems– Universität für Weiterbildung. Both previousá šetrení were markedá by epidemic situations. In November 2021, we were accommodated in Trebon and we moved mostly onúá land´ of the South Bohemiané region, respectively. In March 2022, we moved to its centre, geographically in the regions of Vysočina and South Moravia, with trips to towns and villages in the adjacent region of Austria. Contrary to the original assumption of accommodationá on the Austriané side in Retz, we chose Znojmo in March.

Thirdé teré šetrení already completely probí há by plá nu. The group is accommodated in Lednice. As part of a richá program, the group attended a ú water´ workshop of the Partnership of the City of Brno and the South Moravian Region in the Brnoé Newé Town Hall and met with mayors and other&scaroné representatives of the towns of Mikulov, Valtice, Lednice and Breclav. On the Austrian side, they visited Hollabrunn, Laa an der Thaya or Rabensburg. On Wednesday, the 14th ofá visitedá theá town ofá V´ day andá metá ná at theá towná magistrateá ofá V´ day and at theá embassyá ofá Czechá town.

Theseé&ní šetrení are part& ofá&stí project thatý assessesú&equality&of&city&community&partnerships&focused´m on theáfineé knowledgeá ofání neighbouringástate, region, locality, but alsoá theání functioningá ofá publicé governance. In the Czech-Austrian border area, it is possible to look at the historical events, their extent and quality inšak can beýt by someýlostáwoman. Thus, students can learnávat and study the issue atámo in practice.
