Graduation ceremony took place at VŠPJ

The graduation ceremony of the graduates took place in the Výéé centre of the Polytechnicéé Jihlava on 20 – 22 July.

119 active seniors graduated from the University of the Third´&age in theú&summer&semester. They doán´ notáská degree, but a certificateán´ of completing the course. „Theseá are students whose studies were interrupted by&scaroná coronavirus pandemic in the spring of 2020. While in previous years, graduation ceremonies for graduates of the University of the Thirdé&age have been held in the historicéé auditorium, this year we had our firstéé event in the modernéé space of theýé ukovéCenter,“ saidádí &Scaron&árka Venkrbtsová from the Center for Lifelong Learningání VŠPJ, whiché inýuku at the University of the Thirdá&age.

Among the 196 graduates who have completed their high&scaroné studies in the summeré semester, there are not only freshá bachelors, but also &scaroné six newý academicé degree holders of Mgr. Quality and Safety in Healthcare. Seven new bachelors and one graduate of the continuing master's degree programme managed to achieve the red diploma.

„In this act, you uná from under theáwings of youré alma mater and ináe what you have learned, what you haveáscaled through study and practice, you go to apply in yourém furtherálife, acquireáto make your own way, to realize your own thoughts, visions and goals, “ said the then&scaron&“ rector of the Vá& clav Bá& cha college in his speech to the graduates.

The ceremony was attended by the academic staff, the šcolleges, and members of both chambers of the Academic Senate, in addition to the šcolleges' honorary officers;The guests were also representatives of the Statute of the City of Jihlava and the Vysočina Region, headed by Karolínou Koubová and Vítezslav Schrek.

After graduation, graduates traditionally had the opportunity to take pictures with their friends and teachers in a self-service photo booth.

Promotions are scheduled for spring 2023. Diplomas will be awarded to those students who have completed their studies in the winter semester of the current academic year.
