VŠPJ honoured the memory of executed political prisoners

72 years ago on 17. June 1950, František Rod, Jan Tuček and Karel Veselý were bothšením executed in the courtyard of the thenšíh regionaléh court, onšníh day withíh Highé šcoly polytechnicé Jihlava. In the great political trial, which took place in Jihlava in únor 1950, 23 men were tried, including academics; sculptor Jaroslav Šlesinger, the author of the sculpture ší Zaváté šlé singing at the Úcentralí cemetery in Jihlava. Vice-rector for creativeí and project activities VŠPJ doc. Zdeněk Horák honored their memory by laying flowers at this sculpture and the graves of the executed. Piety for the victims of the trials of fiftyýý&years organized by the Statuteá&rním city of Jihlava in cooperation with Úthe State for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes, the Czech Union of Freedom Fighters and the Confederation of Political Prisoners, among others. Milo Vystrčil, President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and Petr Ryška, Mayor of the City of Jihlava.
