EDIS education platform helps athletes and coaches
The EDIS (Education in sport) platform is a dynamic electronic machine used for gathering professional work and information from the field of top sport. „EDIS works as a multimediaální library, in whiché usersé will find on one mí hundred variousší exercises and otherší methodologicalé documents, not only in the form of overviewý PDF, but also in form of videoí,“ uvádí Mgr. Bohumár Machovec, Ph.D., head of theá Cabinet of Sports VŠPJ. Orientation in databázi is facilitated by an intuitiveá way of searchingáná. It combines several types of filters, whether by means of key words, full-text search or so-called projects, which bring together documents with a common expert knowledge. The platform is free to register and can be used by athletes and coaches as well as teachers, physiotherapists, parents and other people who are interested in information in the field of sport and healthy lifestyle.
The EDIS platform was launched on the occasion of Teachers' Day and the 430th vý birthday of Jan Amos Komensky VICTORIA Vysokoškolské sportsí centre of MŠMT. complex conditions for the long-term preparation of selected sports representatives of the Czech Republic and support of high&scaronýýý&year athletes. Highá škola polytechnická Jihlava is for exampleá involved in the VICTORIA VSC UNIS programme, dí which má the opportunity to provide top athletes with suitable conditions for combining sports careers with high&scaroný studies. „Students enrolled in the program can use both counseling and support services during their studies, as well as, for example, the services of aýlifeýcounselor, sportsýpsychologist, physiotherapist or massageýtherapist. Part of theá program is alsoá financialá support for students throughá scholarshipá program M&Scaron& MT,“ saidá Bohumá r Machovec. Currently, there are four MŠPJ students involved in the UNIS program.
