The Vysočina region is a partner region of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. As part of this partnership, VŠPJ has established a cooperation with Uzhhorod Nánatalí University (UzNU) in 2013. Both universities have agreed that one of the joint activities will be theýcurrencyé stays of students. These will take place regularly twice a year between the Department of Tourism at VŠPJ and the Faculty of Tourism and International Communication at UzNU until the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020. During these years, manyá alliancesá have been created between the staff of the Department of Tourism of V&Scaron& PJ and the Department of Tourism Infrastructure and Management of Hotels and Restaurantsá of UzNU. Students of both šcolleges got to know each other during joint workshops in Vysočina Region and in Zakarpattya Ukraine and after a break forced by pandemics, they enjoyed a renewed šround of šbenýinternáworkshops.

In týday from 9. May 2022, the first „ „ “ joint „ event of VŠPJ and UžNU – ten students with two teachers were to arrive in Jihlava –;and together with students and academic staff of the KCR were to get to know the Polytechnic University Jihlava, the Vysočina Region and deal with current problems in the tourism sector. The currentáá problemsá are ináá two floors of the building of Uzhhorod University and in itsá dormitories are accommodating refugees from the protracted armed conflict in Ukraine. At present, there are approximately 2,000 refugees, many of them families with young children. The University is cooperating with many other&scaron& í entities in Ukraine and abroad, which helpá themá financially and materially to secure their fellow citizens who have managed to escape from the areaá affected by theá violence. Despite this, the situation is understandably very náá.

Higherá šcolleges of polytechnicá Jihlava announcedšté in thisá context a materialsá collectioná to help Ukrainianý refugeesá accommodatedá by Uzhhorod ná ná university. The collection will be probíhat until Saturday, May 21, 2022. For those who cannot personally hand over the items to the collection at the škole, we recommend using the online services of one of the supermarkets and having the prepaid food and drugstore items delivered to the škole (Tolstého 1556/16, Jihlava).

Sbírka for the Food Bank Vysočina, z.s., in support of Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in the Czech Republic, stále probíhá. It is also possible to bring non-perishable foodstuffs (canned food, canned food, instant food and polish, pasta, etc.) to the collection point (bývalý buffet – 1N046).) at any time during the building's operating hours.
