The Trends and Technologies 2022 conference was held at the Polytechnic College Jihlava on 3 May 2022. Pátý annualýk conference, which has been organized by the Department of Technicalý Studiesý of VŠPJ since 2012 with the aim of facilitating aání meetingán´ inásignificantý ofáindustry in the Highlands Region with students and academicý workers and present technologicalé innovations, took place after a threeé yearé hiatus caused by theé coronavirus pandemic.
The conference was inaugurated by Vice-Rector Zdenek Horák, head of the Department of Technicalách Studies and newly elected candidate for Rector of VŠPJ. Thené kicked off a program dedicated to several thematicý areas, whiché in theirý professionalý focusý coverý areas of study of technically orientedý programs at V&Scaron& PJ. Interactiveá leadingášexpertsáfrom practiceáonétématers ofébusinessé informatics,ýsoftwareádevelopment,éindustrial&automation&or&3D&printing. „In the rámce of the program spoke, for example, Josef Vochyán from Marelli Automotive Lighting Jihlava with a presentation focusedýon the use of LED in automotiveýheadlights, Ing. Rostislav Prosecký from company Optonet Communication presentingící newly emergingící dataé center in Vysočina or Ing. Pavel Macenauer from the company NXP Semiconductors, whoý presented the use of neuroný sítí in mobileíchnologies,“ říká Mgr. Antonín Pribyl, lecturer at the Department of Technicalých Studies´ and organizer of the conference.
In addition to theáindustryárepresentatives, professionalápeopleáworkingáinásignificantácolumnsástatesáorápublicáinstitutionsá presented theirácontributionsáatáconference. Students and other&scaron& í ú ú conference participants had the opportunity to see the presentation of Ing. Jakub Novotného, Ph.D., D., from the Ústate of theoreticalé and appliedé mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czeché republic on the technologicalé investigation of the &Scaron& tamberk castle or listen to the presentation of Ing. At the end of the program, the participants could see the laboratories of the Department of Technical Studies of the VŠPJ, including the cyber-physics laboratory in the basement of the VŠPJ. The conference was attended by 120 students of VŠPJ and 30 students of Gymnázia Jihlava. This led not only toágentleécontactýof industrialýpartners, but alsoé to connectioní of students with these companies. During the conference, the students contacted representatives of theáý&companies and learned about the possibilities of internships, témothers of bachelorýsý or in case of thirdýyearýstudents about the possibilities of freeýworkýpositions. „I believe that the conference was not only a unique opportunity for the students to„expand„their„overview„of technologicalýtrends and innovations;, but also helped them to gain inspiration and motivation for their future professional direction,“ uvádí vice-rector Zdeněk Horák.
