May's POLYFiK takes viewers down a frozen river to the Himalayas

Filmý club POLYFiK presentsí in úterý 3. May documentary film Chadar, a river journey (Germany 2020) about the impact of climate change on life in Ladáku, a remoteá area in IndianáHimálaji. Following the promítání will be a náfollow up discussion with Eng. Katarínna Ruschkova, head of the Department of the Environment of the City of Jihlava, which will visit the area of Ladáku in 2019. Diváviewers can look forward totasting chai masala and other themed delicacies.

In May, with the POLYFiK film club, we will venture into places that are so far removed from civilization. And with the advent of global climate change, it is harder for their inhabitants to live a normal life here.

In rámce of the quarterétátáná filméclub VŠPJ, whiché will take place at úterý on May 3, 2022 from 15.00 hrs. in the meetingí mí room next to the historicé auditorium of VŠPJ, the documentaryá film Chadar, a Journey on the River will be shown. Directed by German German Director Minsu Park, the 2020 film follows the running of an adult Changjang woman living in India;m Ladáku, a remoteáhimálaiá area on the India-Chinaákistán border, sometimes nicknamed soávané Malý Tibet. The frozená river is the only route to the šcol for Tsangyang. And this route is becoming more and more impassable as global climate change progresses.

In addition to the film itself, you can enjoy a variedý accompanyingý program. Not only will you be able to taste chai masala and other themed delicacies such as soan papdi and samosa, but after the screening you will also have a discussion with Ing. Katarínna Ruschkova. She will certainly have more to say about the film than just from her position as head of the Department of Environment;of the City of Jihlava, but also as a traveler who visited the Ladááá area in 2019.
