VŠPJ shines blue again this year

Thisšním year, the College of Polytechnicá Jihlava expresses support for people with autism spectrum disorders. On the occasion of the World &scaroné Autism Awareness Day, which is celebrated annually on April 2, the blue web of the high &scaroné &scaroné colleges. In this way, VŠPJ joins the IX annual campaign with the name Czech Republic in blue, organized by the platform Hope for Autism.

VŠPJ has been supporting the campaign since 2019, when it illuminated the front of a historic building on Tolstého Street in blue on this occasion. During the year of watch the campaign, there were restrictions on freedom of movement due to the COVID-19 pandemic which would prevent many people from seeing the blue building in person at nighttime. Therefore, VŠPJ decided to light up their website in blue, where people could visit at any time of the day or night without any restrictions. The blueýtí website of the highé školy also in thisšní year, on Saturday April 2, i.e. on Worldý dayý šení awarenessí about autism.

The turní of the website into a blue há vu ovšem is not the only activity that VŠPJ has prepared for this occasion. „Like last year, weše challenged our students to focus on blue objects that they encounter in everyday life and take pictures of them. Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) – popularly Autism affects up to 2.7% of the population according to worldwide epidemiological surveys. In our&scaron& í country it can beý to 300 000 citizens who liveí with some of the forms of autism, which include´ childhoodý autism, Rett syndrome, atypicalý autism, Asperger syndrome, disintegrative´ disorder. Autism in&scaronšíak affects the lives of 500,000 more of their loved ones. Autisticé&spectrum&disorders&affect&the&sensoryá&m&n´,&imagination&and&social&communication. In 70% of autism is associated with other disabilities.
