In accordance with the schedule of the PARTNER (KPF-02-220) inter nativeí project, we attended the secondé teré &scaroní on 21-25 March 2022. So far, in the firstémco round in November 2021, we have been in the úland´ of the South Bohemiaé region, respectively. This time we moved to the middle of the Czech-Austrian border, geographically in the South Moravian and Vysočina regions. This time the event was also marked by an epidemic situation. Contrary to the original assumption of accommodation in Retz, we chose Znojmo. It should be noted that this was the first event with Donau-Universität Krems (DUK) in two years of cooperation, which was not limited in its own course.
On Mondayí immediately afterá accommodationá we startedá theá programá iná theá š ter Louka, specifically theá š š kola (Centrum Louka). Here we are in underání V. Zika (Brno University of Technology) learned about the course andý the„great Interreg“ focused on the protection of cultural heritage (COL). We took a leisurely walk around the river and returned to the historic southern part of the city, where an afternoon arrival at the city hall and a workshop introducing the COL awaited us;cí inšestrannoé cross-border´ activities of the 35,000&cityé itself, as well as of the socialé life components operating there. In the directed by Mr. Mayor L. David we learned, among others, about the following. We were told about: the activities of the DMO Znojmo Region, the cooperation of the Municipal Library, the activities of the Znojmo Beseda, the ú&scaron&scaron&scaron&scaronš and the &scaron&scaroný ties of the &scaroný to the Austrian side. The view of the region, locality and the individual was supplemented by a holistic view by A. Hanouskov, responsible for Czech-Austrian cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. In the portfolio of cross-border cooperation we cannot miss economic activities, so we invited M. Žáka, representative of the Austrian marketing office in Brno, as well as Z. Pastrňáková, working at Public – Relations and Marketing Nevoga s.r.o. The – as is the – custom in – the – time is quiteý iný the – relativelyý head.
In úterý we headed to Austria to see the real situation of twinning cities. While in Retz, we confirmed the high level of cooperation with Znojmo and the surrounding area when the mayor arrived;Pulkau village Pulkau from the weak ím period of cooperation with Moravian Budejovice, among others. Due to the change in the positions of competent workers. The highlight of the day was the návšteva of Kremže (Krems), which was connected by aá partnership with Kroměří. We have explored the campus here, where all the universities are concentrated, making the city a major academic centre.
On the thirdý day we combined our stay inšem ú countryí and in Austria, whereby we met representatives of five towns and villagesí: in Moravianý Budejovice, Jemnice and Dačice on one side, and in Austria it was Kautzen and Waidhofen an der Thaya. We found, in spite of the different intensity of the relationship, that a veryá subjectiveá factor played a significant role, either in the form of personalá commitment (fromá the notion of cooperation) or the negativeá influence of the languageá barrier. After a logistic and content-less day, we have prepared only three non´š educational „stopsá from Znojmo for Thursday;tours“ as well as a walk along the Hroznové goat trail with a výkladce fromástupce místní the Guild of Winemakers. In theše villages, successively Jaroslavice, Vrbovec and Šatov, we met not only with a niceýarrival, but soé manyé learned about the riché and longé cooperation with (Lower)Austrianý partner municipalities throughý a number of jointý projects. Itáséfine&to&find&that&overáperiod&of&formáln´ relationships&gradually&grow&into&informaláln´ cross-border´ meetings.
On the lastý day we went to the Návu Náho Park Podyjí, because práve this institution is inýknown;m playám not only in regionalálnám development of the úcountryá, but also iné cross-borderá cooperation. Director T. Rothröckl, together with Austrianýprotégé D. Freudl, presented the long-standing joint concern for the local landscape, fauna and flora, as well as activities aimed at involving the public.
We believe that the situation will gradually stabilize and we are alreadyší on the thirdé teré nní šetrení (fromá rowí 2022), during which we will learn about the situation in theýýýý part of the Czech-Austrianý borderý.
