Mexico 2022 Student Expedition

On Friday, January 21, 2022, a group of teachers and students from the Department of Tourism at VŠPJ embarked on a long-planned twoýday expedition to Mexico. The trip is a privateálexperienceí ofúhonorees. However, a complete´ product including an attractive´ program has been prepared by the MEXICOCESKY TRAVEL AGENCY in agreement with the department staff. It is a voluntary opportunity for the students to learn about the world's most famous tourism regions. We continue the tradition of five student expeditions to Cuba, which students and colleagues participated in 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2020.

The destination of the expedition is the Yucatán Peninsula. Tourism is one of the mainstays of the economy of this part of Mexico. The group explored the most famous tourist area on the Caribbean coast around the resort of Cancún. Then the úfrequentí people under the guidance of experiencedšené guide and also academicé employee of the Department of Tourism Dr. Martina Drašarové embarked on a several-day´ sightseeing tour to the interior of the peninsula in order to get to know the country better;Mayan and Mexican culture, traditions, and UNESCO-listed Mayan sites.
