Christmas at VŠPJ supported SOVY Regional Charity Jihlava

This year, as part of the 17th annual charity event Vánce at VáPJ, the College of Polytechnicá Jihlava supported terénní programs of SOVA. This service of the Regional Charity Jihlava is intended for persons and families from the Jihlava region and other parts of the Vysočina Region who live in a highéé socialéé exclusion. The students and staff of the šcolleges organized a collection of durableýfoodýand drugs for them. Theirý weight was handed over by the rector of Václav Bácha on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, to Petra Kuncové and Maria Sedlákovécharity workers from Jihlava.

„Todayšní times a lot of ouršní clients are affected by pandemicsí, theýwhatí of losingání jobs, health´ problemsé housing emergencies. Due to rising food and energy prices, financial problems are being added and debt is increasing,“ explained the need for the teré worker's collection;Martina Hrabalová, whoás studying at the VŠPJ in the field of Healthálná work in combinedá form.

Studentá Chamber of Academicá Sená prepared a collection ofá rks for otherá students on the occasion of the preá iná heavy; students and staff šcollaý softý punch and sugar, which contributed to theý atmosphereé of the entireé afternoon.

Vánce at VŠPJ is a traditional charity event during which students and employees of the Polytechnicé šCollegeé Jihlava together support a selected non-profit organization from the Highlands. In the past, fundraising events have been held, for example, for a home for the elderly in Ždírce, a home for children and young people in ZASTÁVka Telč or shelters for mothers with children in Humpolec and Havlíczkova Brod. Last year, the choice fell on the Food Bank of the Vysočina Region, for which 365 kg of food and drugs were collected in less than two days.
