STARTUUJ NA VYSOČINĚ knows its winners

On November 23rd, in the úterý a historicalé auditorium of the&scaroné &scaroné Polytechnicé Jihlava, the STARTUP IN THE HIGHLAND competition was held. The competition was announced by the CzechInvest agency, and oneá project was submitted to the CzechInvest. Theíwinners were Petr Petz with the Radononline project, Maria Šimůnkov with the Nekrachni project and VŠPJ student Jan Filipi with the MathBox project.
In June this year, under the banner of the CzechInvest agency and in cooperation with the Vysočina Region, the STARTUUJ NA HIGHER RESIDENCE cíá for innovativeá projects or fromá measure implementedá or pláá onú landá of the Vysočina Region. Oneáct projects were submitted to the competition. Theá šení award ceremony took place on 23 November 2021 at theá šcolleges of polytechnicé Jihlava. Theíprize winners were Petr Petz with the project Radononline, Maria Šimůnkov with the project Nekrachni and VŠPJ student Jan Filipi with the project MathBox.

The competition was held in the categories ofánovaný innovativeý entrepreneurialý project, implementedý innovativeý project, and the best&scaroný studentý innovativeý project was also selected. The expert jury, consisting of representatives of CzechInvest, Vysočina Region, the Polytechnic College Jihlava and the Regional Chamber of Economy of Vysočina Region, evaluated several criteria. These included originality or innovativeness, room for further growth, feasibility, quality of processing, links and relations of the project to social and environmental aspects and last but not least, thepresentation.

There were no easyý ú rounds of judging, with 11 projects entered into the competition and all of them were so interestingý é that they went through to the next&scaron& é round. During this round, the competitors had theící opportunity to present theiré projects to the jury. Theání evaluationí committee meeting took place on 21 October 2021 in the regionalální office of CzechInvest in Jihlava.„I'm rád that at CzechInvest we support not only startups, but alsoé startups themselves already in startingátcí businesses. It is importanté toé encourageé youngé people toé entrepreneurship already while studying, which helpsé forá e.g.é the creation of spinoffs at universitiesé and the transfer of technologicalé innovationsé into practice. These projects also show how much potential students have, said Jakub Hájek, director of the Division of Startups and Innovative Small and Medium Enterprises at CzechInvest, who sat on the evaluation committee.

Theéé projects, whiché were selected by the jury and approved by the Council of the Vysočina Region, were presented during a ceremony on 23 November 2021 at the College of Polytechnicé Jihlava. Theá&scaron&ení brought a great opportunity for seekingá&ní synergiesí and networking between theá&cí competitors, members of theá&judging&committee and theá&students in&scaron&e sponsoringý companies. The catering was taken care of by one of the actresses of the 1st year of the competition from the GURMANDIE culinary studio in Jihlava.

The title of this event was awarded and the ceremony was opened by the 1st GUMMANDY. nácitymistress of the Governor of the Vysočina Region Hana Hajnová together with prorector for creativeá and project activities Zdeněk Horákem. „I was very pleased with the highá quality of theá&scaronýenýcompetition entries, both in terms of innovativeness, feasibility and potential for furtherá&growth. The winner in the category of realizedý innovativeý entrepreneurialý project was Peter Petz with hisý project Radononline. Itá isá an&online&measurement&of&radon&withá help&ofá withá wirelessá radon&probe&that&sendsá measurement&traces&to&a&web&application&so&the&client&can&see¬&only&the&traces&of&the&measurement&but&the&progress&of&the&measurement.

In the category of fullánovanovaný entrepreneurialý project and studentý innovativeý entrepreneurialý project, two projects focusing on mathematicsý learning and financialý literacy were awarded.

Students of the Department of Technicalýýý V&Scaron& PJJan Filipi and Radek Hejdus took an unconventionalý classroomý aid inýý mathematics for 1. A– lockingí box MathBox, where a reward can be put and whichá opens after solvingšení mathematicalé ú lies. „VšPJ focuses on applied education and úby rushing through téit competition atši students confirmed that they really don´ get lost in the practice.
