The Opus Optimum competition for the best scientific theses was dominated by the Department of Technical Studies

The 9th annual Opus Optimum competition for the best scientific paper published by the staff of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava was announced in 19. The winner of the award was Ing. Mgr. Lucie Zárybnická, Ph.D., from the Department of Technicalých Studiesí VŠPJ. From a total of 13&scaronýenýený entries, the finalist of the Opus Optimum competition was won by a team of the Department of Technical Studies  consisting  doc. Ing. Zdeněk Horák, Ph.D.; Ing. Bc. Karel Dvořák, Ph.D.; Ing. Mgr. Lucie Zárybnická, Ph.D.; Mgr. Hana Vojáčková, Ph.D.; Ing. Bc. Jana Dvořáková. The Vice-Rector's Prize for Creative and Project Activities was also awarded. Itsí winners were Prof. MUDr. Aleš Roztočil, CSc., and the authorý tý of the Department of Socialá lní prá consisting of Mgr. Martina Černá, Ph.D.; Bc. Olga Klepáčková; Zuzana Krejčí.

Februaryšní 9. Mgr. Lucie Zárybnická, Ph.D., from the Department of Technicalých Studiesí VŠPJ for the professional article „Preparation of Cation Exchange Filament for 3D Membrane Print“. The article, registered in the Web of Science database, was published in 2020 in the Rapid Prototyping Journal, a leading scientific journal focused on 3D printing.

From a total of 13 entries, the&scaronýenýel wins&scaronšel in addition to the mainé prize soé finalist of the Opus Optimum competition, and the authorý tým of the Department of Technicalých Studiesí in composed by doc. Ing. Zdeněk Horák, Ph.D.; Ing. Bc. Karel Dvořák, Ph.D.; Ing. Mgr. Lucie Zárybnická, Ph.D.; Mgr. Hana Vojáčková, Ph.D.; Ing. Bc. Jana Dvořáková. For the prize, the ucházel with professionalám article „Experimental Measurements of Mechanical Properties of PUR Foam Used for Testing Medical Devices and Instruments Depending on Temperature, Density and Strain Rate“ published in the journal Materials, which is also included in the Web of Science.

Awardedá was presented to the academicý staff of the Department of Technicalý Studiesá from the hands of the Rector of the š š College of Polytechnicé Jihlava prof. MUDr. Václava Báči, Ph.D., During a meeting of the Academicé Council of V&Scaron& PJ. On thisé occasion, the Vice-Rector's Award for Creativeé and Project Activities was awarded for the first time ever. The Vice-Chancellor's Award is a recognition of the high quality of the work of the academic staff;of students and students in the field ofýýýýý&materials or inýý°rees ofý&applied&research,“ said doc. Zdeněk Horák.

The firstíprize winners were prof. MUDr. Aleš Roztočil, CSc. (Department of Healthých Studiesí VŠPJ), for the revisedé and supplementedé editioné of the professionalé publication Moderní obstetricsí and dále by theý team ofý Mgr. Martina Černá, Ph.D.; Bc. Olga Klepáčková; Zuzana Krejčí for the professional book Trauma-informedý approach in socialáln´ practice, which is the first ever Czech publication dedicated to this topic. it was created, as it is the result of a studenténg professional project carried out in 2019 at the Department of Socialální práce of VŠPJ.

Opus Optimum is an internalí competitioní of the &scaroné &scaroné College of Polytechnicé Jihlava for the best&scaroné scientific or professional prá. The competition is announced once a calendaráá year. Entries for the competition can be submitted for evaluation for publications published in the year for which the competition is announced. The proposed prá prá ce are judged by a committee consisting of the Rector, the Vice-Rector for Creative & Project Activities and the President of the Academic Senate of VŠPJ. The same jury decides on the award of the Vice-Rector's Award for Creative and Project Activities. Both awards are given in support of the creative and publishing activities of the academic staff of VŠPJ.
