The matriculation of new students took place for the first time in the Learning Centre

Imatriculation is one of the academic ceremonies, which includes graduation. The latter is the ceremonial end of studies, while the former is the entry into the academic world and the official beginning of highááá life. The Rector of the College, Vice-Rectors, guarantors of study programmes, members of the Academic Senate, academic staff, and traditionally also members of the Vysočina Region and the Statute of the City of Jihlava as guests are present at the ceremony. Invitation to this festive event was accepted this year by the Councillor of the Vysočina Region for the area of školství, youtháge, sport and ICT RNDr. Jan Břížďala and the Councillor of the Vysočina Region for the area of property Mgr. Karel Janoušek.

Academic staff members are dressed in gowns and use the insignia of the šcoly – Rector's ý chain, scepter and Vice-Rector's ý chains during the ceremonial act. During the matriculation, students takeá a solemná oath, the content of which is, firstá the fulfillment ofá dutiesá and ofá obligations toá the šcollege. During the ceremony, students, after the sounding of theiré nameé in front of theé academicé functionaries, bowé themselves, place their right hand over the scepter held by the pedestal, signify their assent to the oath, and receive the matriculation certificate. The Rector of VŠPJ Prof. Václav Bácha welcomed the freshé highšcolá members of the academicé community as officialál members and wished them much strength and perseverance in their studies. „Theá&ní is notá&ní completed by completing anyá&ní degree of study, it is a continuousá&ní lifelong´ process in whichá&ná yourá&n&e alma mater will always be ready to help,“ he said in hisá&n&n speech. Among the newly enrolled students this year are the first ever students of the Master's programme in Applied Technology for Industrial Practice, who will be able to boast of being the first engineering students from the Vysočina Region in two years' time.
