Rector of the University of Applied Sciences elected to the leadership of the European Association of Clinical Anatomists

AnEuropean Association of Clinical Anatomy (EACA) meeting on16. 9. 2021 elected Prof. Václave Báchu, M.D., Ph., Rector of the Polytechnic &é š College ofé Jihlava, to the position of Honorary President in theýé konné výof the EACA, an organization of clinical anatomy professionals from Europe and other countries around the world. „It is a great honour for me toý beý elected to the highest&scaron& &scaron& í position in Europeané clinicalé anatomy. This is a hugeý ofý importance to the preclinicalý fields of medicineý whichý are in inýTeachingýýe plálet spá&scaron&e printáe to again achieveán´ ofáá theáá cornerstone ofá&ná medicalá education. And this includes the emphasis on specific expertise of the leading scientists, their interdisciplinary competence and ethical integrity in the European and global scientific space,“ said prof. Báča.

The main ús of EACA is to increase úšit awareness of the education úní and research in clinical úanatomy, to build transúbodyú relationships among anatomists in the field. Dále organization is dedicated to the publication of scientific activities in the rámcy of European congresses.

Prof. Bácha has stepped up to lead the association from the position of Honorary Vice-President, which he has held in theáboard since 2019. He previously served on theáboard of EACA as Assistant Secretary-General for the past eight years. With his new position, he will be attending the EACA Annual Congress, which will be held in Prague in 2023, with a two-year term. It is an appreciation of Prof. Báce's work not only in the field of science and research, but also in the field of organization and popularization for the benefit of his field not only in the country, but also in the international context.
