VŠPJ Education Centre aspires for the title of Building of the Year 2021

The Výukové centre of the Highé školy polytechnické Jihlava (VŠPJ) was nominated for the prestigious Strong>Building of the Year 2021 award as the onlyá building in the Vysočina Region. Ninetyát buildings were entered into the 29th annual nationwideécompetition, and 33 were nominated for theýcompetition. They will be announced on 18 October 2021.

The main organizer of the competition is, as every year, the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction. A professional jury of five members and a panel of experts have evaluated á ninetyá buildings during the last year. Nominations were announced on Monday, the 6th ofá at theNáNárodnámuseum of Technology in Prague.

„The šené of the building represent a true špeak of the builder's art, and therefore nás nominations in této competition must´notá,“ commented úrush in the competition rector VšPJ Václav Bácha.The   Výukové centre was inaugurated last year and has expanded the&scaron& í ofágroundí šcolleges with a multifunctionalí spaces including a large-capacity auditorium and a uniqueáá&tn´ vý&teaching factory for Industry 4.0. The author of the project is the studio QARTA ARCHITEKTURA, the contractor of the construction is Podzimek a synové company, which entered the competition. It was the most significant construction investment in the entire history of the VŠPJ, which was 90 % financed by a subsidy from the Ministry of šcolleges, youth and physicalýbreeding.

Traditionally, it has been possible to give a vote to a favored building in the public vote on the pages of the competition. The voteání will close onSunday 17Monday at 12 noon. and the results will be announced at a gala dinner in Betlééééé chapel in Prague. The entries, nominees and award winners of the Building of the Year 2021 will be available for viewing at stateýýý&events, trade fairs and other events in the Czech Republic and abroad.
