Rector of the VŠPJ honoured the memory of political prisoners executed in the Babice case

Meetingání to remember the victims of the judicial murder of political prisoners of 50át&years, executed in the Regional Prison;Jihlava court in the years 1950 to 1952 was organized by the Statute of the City of Jihlava in cooperation with the Jihlava branch of the Confederation of Political Prisoners of the Czech Republic. The act of commemoration was preceded by a Mass in the Church of St. Igná at Masaryk's Square in Jihlava, which was celebrated by P. Vojtěch Kodet, Th.D., O.Carm., Prior of the Carmelite Convent in Prague - Liboc. The memorialé meetingé took place at 10:00 in front of the building of the former&scaroné prison at the memorial of Smí stones with the engravedý names of oneá of the men who died at this place. Seven of them were executed for the so-called Grandma's Fall on August 3, 1951. They were František Kopuletý, Antonín Mityska, Václav Drbola, Drahoslav Němec, František Pařil, Antonín Škrdla and Antonín Plichta. It was a wave of executions in the Babice area.

During the commemoration act, flowers were laid at the memorial tníku. In addition to the Rector of Bách, the President of the Senátu of the Parliament of the Czechá Republic Miloš Vystrčil, the representative of the Vysočina Region Martin Hyský, the Mayor of Jihlava Martin Laštovička and Milena Blatná from the Confederation of Political Prisoners delivered their speeches. The Czech national anthem was sung at the meeting.

Karel Veselý, František Rod, Jan Tuček. These are then the names of the peopleí whoí were executed in the yard of the then&scaroní regional´ courtí prison in the rá rá trial of Babick´ among the firstí already on June 17, 1950.
