Academic community of the University of Applied Sciences elected new senators
Because of the currentální epidemicé situation, thisšní summeršn´ elections for the Academicásenátu of VšPJ were held for the firsté time ever inšthešhistoryárounds inýcastle online. Aéthird& of theéempoweredývoters from academicýstaffýand&studentýranks& participated&in&the&electronic&voting&event&via&the&information&system. „Since theú ú portion of the election was twiceú higherú than in a traditional presidential election;We will definitely consider staying with this model in the future,“ said the current chair of the Academic Senate Mgr. Hana Vojáčková, Ph.D.
The students of VŠPJ elected a total of five candidates to the studenté chamber with the highest number of votes. "Many thanks to všem. Yourše trust is very valuable to me. I will do my best to make the years of study at VšPJ as pleasant as possible for you,"Adiya Zhalel, a sophomore in the Travel & Tourism program, thanked herý constituents in the election;scalý the highest&scaron& &scaron& í number of votes for candidates for thestudent chamber. The newýstudentýsenátors are:

The newly electedý Academicý Senate of the V&Scaron& PJ, whichý will meet for the firstý time at theá meeting on Wednesday 26. May 2021 at 13:30 hours, aá number of importantá decisionsá awaitá iná theá futureá directioná ofá VŠPJ. In addition to the approval of the budget, management or selected strategic documents, the senátores will, for example, select theádegree of the current rector, prof. Václav Báchis, whose secondé term of office ends in 2022.
