University of the Third Age offers online course on mental health

Due to the current epidemic situation, it is not possible to enrol in the courses of the University of the Third & Third Age of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava (U3V) for the current academic year. Starting in the autumn, theýuction will continue with theýuction of students whoýuction was interruptedýdue to theýwooláuction in connection with theý coronavirus pandemics last March. Itá wasá more than 600 listeners in Jihlava and in otherá towns in the region where U3V operatesá (Velké Meziřá, Třebá, Pelhřimov and Žďá nad Sá zavou). Stávajícím and newým listeners are now´ U3V offers´zí online course The advantages of psychological hygiene or How to keep your soul healthyí.

In the first online course at U3V, students learn about the benefits of psychological hygiene, i.e. how to maintain their mental health . The course will include lectures, presentations, exercises (e.g. autogenous training and visualization) and discussions with the lecturer Mgr. Lucií Polákovou. The aim is to make the listeners able to define themselves in relation to their environment, to recognize stress, inconvenient life conditions, pathological relationships and to be able to deal with them.

The one-semesterální course will mít seven two-hourýní sessions via the ZOOM platform. „Úattendees will always receive ane-mailinvitation to the class. University of the Thirdé Age VŠPJ has been open to the široké public since March 2005. In that time, tími courses have already been passed by téme 2,000 graduates. Fromáy thoseá interested in studying atá U3V iná generalé, fromájmové and non-professionalé educationá atá highá ú schools (e.g. Citizens of the Czech Republic aged 55 years old with completed secondaryýýýý&college education can be accepted for study. Graduates fromáskáwillá aá certificateá of graduation, notá a&aacademicý degree, and mayú attendá graduation ceremony in theá šcollege&aucule.
