Senate President Vystrčil introduced students to public policy

On 6 April, students of the Polytechnic College Jihlava met with the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milo Vystrčil. The meeting took place in the framework of the course Economics of the Public Sector, which is a compulsory elective subject of the Finance and Management programme. In it students learn about the topics of public elections and public policy which this year they were introduced to the most important state official of the country.

For the students, Dr. Vystrčil prepared a lecture on the „Senát and the dayšek“, which he enriched with a lot of practical informationá about how the Senát works. The students learned what a public election is, how the decision making mechanisms are as well as the  in throws and non- throws associated with them. The students were impressed by Dr. Vystrčil's humanity and openness, which led to aáššandá&secondá discussion in aágentleéspirit. RNDr. Miloš Vystrčil worked at the VŠPJ as an assistant professor from 2009-2021, primarily in the department of publicé administration and regionalálníDevelopment, which was closed in 2012, and since2013 at the Department of Economic Studies. Here he was responsible for the teaching of the course Regionální Development and Development and the elective course Regionální Policy and Development. He has also been actively involved in inviting experts from the field to the university or to the international scientific conference Competition, where he has often presented his work.
