VŠPJ has piloted a methodology for IBM to assess the development of soft and professional competences

Department of Economicých Studiesí together with the Department of Mathematics at VŠPJ continueí in řešení contractualí inýzkumu „Methodology of knowledge developmentí s r.o. The project was launched in 2020 and its aim is to implement a methodology that allows for continuous evaluation of the impact of the P-TECH education program at secondary schools where the program is implemented.

The Department of Economicých Studiesí together with the Department of Mathematics at VŠPJ continueí to addressšení the contractualí inýzkumu „Methodology of Knowledge Developmentí a skillsí of womenáh of the P-TECH“ educationávacíprogram for IBM Česká republika, spol. s r.o. The project was launched in 2020 and  its cílem is the implementation of a methodology that enables  Continuousé evaluationá ofá theá impactá ofá theá P-TECH&programme&at&the&secondary&schoolsá whereá the&programme&is&implemented. Thanks to the methodology, it is possible to continuously evaluate the progress of students in the development of soft and vocational competences defined according to the European Qualification Framework (EQF).

The methodology has been tested at theCollege of Industrialé &scaroné, Technicalé and automotiveí in Jihlava by teachers and students who are involved in the P-TECH program. This gives students theé opportunity to peeké under the hood of theiré approach to learningí and discover howé pathways iná educationá suit them besté and how they are moving´ professionally and personally. Similarly, this information is used by teachers, who can adapt their teaching in a positive way; reviews by experts from the academic and professional sphere, from the field of educational psychology, general didactics and human resources. The biggest&scaron&&ís&positives of the methodology are its´versatility, transferability and complexity in cognitive processes and in the development of softý competences. It follows currentálná trends in educationaláná and is supported by theoryá and research. The methodology is officiallyá usedá and the spectrum of involvedá middle&scaron&colleges is growingá.

IBM Czechá Republic, spol. s r.o., has launched a free digitalální educationávací platform Open P-TECH, whichálná has been specially created for students and teachers. Afterún&scaroném completingácourses on Open P-TECH, one can experienceádataáon the assignmentálnán digitalácertificate, whichý can be added to youryour resume or your social media profile. Recruitersé respond very positively to Open P-TECH activities. Many of the courses focus on emerging modern´ technologies and professionalé and softé skills (e.g. Mindfulness or prá skills in tý mu).
