On Thursday, March 18, watch at 10 a.m. for a influence of the environment on neuronal processing and the perception of sound. On this téma will speak doc. Ing. Zbyněk Bureš, Ph.D., from the Department of TechnicalýStudiesí at VŠPJ in rámce of the TýDay of the Brain festival, whichýdádá of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Docent Bureš has been studying the auditoryšení and neuralén´ processing of sound since 2004. At the Polytechnicéé Jihlava and in the Úé state of experimentsá&ní of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, he focuses on theýé research of hearing changes induced byýof acousticý&environment&andá&condition&and´&environment, both in animal´&greek´& models and in humans.
How do the different acousticá environments in whichý we move affect theý response of our neurons to sound? Howý doý inappropriateé and&unnaturalé stimuli transformý toše iná sound? And whatý effect on the perímání and the response of auditoryý neurons má toše attention? You can find out in this book, which summarizes the latest findings on changes in the properties of auditory neurons in relation to the acoustic environment. We will be broadcasting live on the ZOOM platform, as well as on YouTube channel of VŠPJ, where it will also be possible to watch it fromfrom. During the broadcast, doc. Bureš online will be available for questions watchících.
Týbrainýday is a festival of the latest&scaron& ích discoveries and trends in brainýresearch and neuroscience, whichý is part of theástí Brain Awareness Week – worldwide campaign to increaseýšení public awareness ofúspších andínos inýbrain&injury. The tradition of Tý Brain Day in the Czeché Republic was initiated and founded by Czechý neuroscientist Professor Josef Syka in 1998. Due to the stácící epidemicé situation, this yearšní annualí festival will be held online for the first time.
