Four new schools and four new corporate partners join IBM's P-TECH education program in the Czech Republic

IBM and the Vysočina Region announce that four new šcolleges and four newí corporateí partners are joining the IBM Pathway in Technology (P-TECH) educationá vací program, which was launched in the Czeché Republic lastý year with these – Střední industrialá, technicalá and automotiveá škola v Jihlava, Vysoká škola polytechnická Jihlava, Kraj Vysočina and corporate partners IBM Česká republika and Bosch Diesel. Newý corporateý partners I&C Energo, DEL, MANN+HUMMEL Service and ICE Industrial Services are ready to support students with theirý worký experiences, including studentý mentors and st´ mentees. And the students of the new P-TECH šcolleges are supported by theirýpartnershipé Vysoká šcolleges of polytechnicá Jihlava and Vysočina Region.

„P-TECH is an educationalávací program of IBM, whichý supports the middle&scaroný educationávací systé. It effectively connects the publicý and privateý sectors. Students in the rámce program gaináskáexperienceáwithálnýprojects already during their studies. Collaborate with teachers, companies and high&scaroný partners. You will build on your knowledge and skills in modern technologies, artificial intelligence, project management, problem solving and other valuable skills;, students can lépe make decisions about their education and future career, explains Kristina Kosatíková, IBM's social responsibility manager for the Central and Eastern Europe region.

The práce market is currently being transformed by newátechnologies, and the Europeanáce Commission estimates that there is a gap of approximately 500á000 peopleábetween the demand for and supply of ICT specialists in the Europeanáunion. This gap affects not only the digitalisation of the technology sector, but also businesses in, for example, other sectors. P-TECH is aám responseá to theseýhabits, because todayšnách graduates are expected to come to theiráe;

„Technology, including artificial intelligence, is now a part of every industry and employees will need to continually evolve and adapt throughout their careers to develop new types of workplace m´. It is great news that four new šcolleges and four new šcolleges and four new šcorporateí partners have joined the P-TECH program in the Czeché Republic. In the Czeché Republic, we have introduced a methodology for evaluating theé results of the P-TECH programme, which we will use from this month in the partner &scaroná colleges. „In just oneý year, the P-TECH program in the Czeché Republic has grown from 1 to 5 šcol. We have prepared a structuredý thematicý plan, according to whiché students will work on multidisciplinaryá projects. We introduced students and teachers to the Open P-TECH online education platform with certified courses. The P-TECH partners alsoé supporté šcolleges in distanceá educationá, “ addá Kristina Kosatá.

About the P-TECH program:
The world's first P-TECH was founded by  IBM in Brooklyn, New York in partnership with  the College, the City Council and the Middle  School in 2011. There are now 220 P-TECH šcolleges operating with 600 corporate partners in 24 countries.
