On Thursday, 12 January 2012, the Polytechnic University of Jihlava is preparing an Open Day, which is intended primarily for those interested in university studies. From 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. you will be able to see the interior of the school building at 16 Tolstého Street, the library, the canteen, the teaching spaces, or take part in organized guided tours. Individual bachelor's degree courses will be presented in comprehensive lectures throughout the day. An updated Open Day programme can be found here.
On 24 November 2011, the University of Applied Sciences hosted a conference from the series "DISCUSS EUROPE - MEPs' Visions for 2014", organised by the Information Office of the European Parliament in the Czech Republic. Conferences with MEPs on various topics are held at several universities in the Czech Republic. In Jihlava, a discussion with MEPs Oldřich Vlasák and Miloslav Ransdorf on the topic "The European Union and tourism issues" took place.
Through this project, university students get a unique opportunity to confront their theoretical knowledge on the topic of tourism and the activities of the European Parliament with the practical experience of the Czech MEPs present. Lenka Vodičková, a student of Tourism at the University of Applied Sciences and Technology of the University of Applied Sciences and Technology of the University of Applied Sciences and Technology of the University of Applied Sciences and Technology of the University of Applied Sciences, presented her very successful paper on tourism issues in Most. Journals of October 3 and 4, 2011
On November 1 - 4, 2011, the VŠPJ will participate in the European Fair for Post-Secondary and Lifelong Learning Gaudeamus 2011, which is held at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The VŠPJ will be offering accredited bachelor's degree courses at its stand, especially to interested secondary school youth, who are the main visitors to the event every year. After a successful three-year Bachelor's degree, the first 40 female graduates of the Nursing programme - 27 in the field of General Nurse and 13 in the field of Midwifery - are leaving the Polytechnic College Jihlava. More here
Although classes in the new academic year will not start at the Jihlava Polytechnic until 26 September 2011, ten students from the field of Tourism participated in the international student workshop "New Trends and Technologies in Tourism" from 5 to 9 September. More here
The Department of Technical Studies of the VŠPJ is organizing the second edition of the free summer school of digital and microprocessor technology from 15 to 19 August 2011, which is designed not only for students of the VŠPJ, but also for those interested in secondary schools and applicants for technical studies at the VŠPJ. The GOCCJ is newly expanding its study offer to include a combined form of study for the three-year Bachelor of Midwifery and General Nursing programmes. At the end of June, the Accreditation Commission of the Czech Republic issued an approval opinion to extend the existing full-time form of teaching to a combined form, which will allow those interested to study while working. This approval is related to the extension of the study programmes of the VŠPJ by the new programme of Midwifery, under which the field of Midwifery is newly accredited. More here
During the 2011 State Examinations in late June and early July, the University of Applied Sciences will join the EMPTY CHAIR event to symbolically support other voices calling for non-violent reform and greater civil liberties in contemporary China. More here
